OCIA...A Journey in Faith

Do you know someone who is interested in becoming Catholic? Or are you yourself interested in joining the Catholic faith?

Have you been thinking about becoming Catholic but aren’t sure where to start?  Do you have questions about the Catholic faith but aren’t sure if you are ready to become Catholic?  Have you been baptized in another faith tradition but attend Saint Michael with your spouse and are feeling called to explore becoming Catholic.  Summer is a great time to inquire about becoming Catholic.

Call Marcy at the parish office (330-533-6839) to begin the conversation and see if this is the right time for you.

OCIA (formerly RCIA), the Order of Christian Initiation of Adults is the process by which non-Catholic adults join our faith.  If you have never been baptized or baptized in another Christian tradition or faith, the OCIA process is your opportunity to learn about the Catholic faith and become Catholic. It is also open to those who were baptized in the Catholic Church but never had any religious education, and never made their first communion.

Inquiries are welcome year round.

CONGRATULATIONS TO THE NEWEST MEMBERS OF OUR CATHOLIC FAITH!

At the Easter Vigil on April 19, we welcomed Katie Blissenbach and Pamela Lazusky into full communion in the Catholic Church. They have been studying and praying for several months through the OCIA process and are now fully initiated as members in the Catholic Faith.

We congratulate them and welcome them into our parish family.  May they always feel the support of this parish community as they continue to grow in their faith and love of God.
