Scouting at St. Michael
Important Message for Catholic Scouts
The Catholic Committee on Scouting is inviting all Catholic Cub Scouts and pre-high school Girl Scouts to earn their Catholic religious awards. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic all high school aged awards have been suspended until further notice out of concern for, not only the scouts themselves, but also for the health and safety of the facilitators.. Most, if not all, older Catholic religious awards require it being instructed by a trained facilitator thus putting those individuals at risk as well.
Now, although those older-aged awards have been postponed the younger awards can be earned at home with the help and support from mom and dad or grandma and grandpa. These awards are not that difficult to earn and are actually quite fun to work on. Each award comes with its own workbook filled with activities and entertaining Catholic oriented material.
For more information on these Catholic religious awards contact the Diocese of Youngstown’s Catholic Committee on Scouting Chairman, Bon Granchie, at email@example.com. Here’s a great way to have some fun and learn more about your Catholic faith while sidelines in your homes. It bring together the Scouting Spirit with Holy Spirit in a whole new Light.
Be Safe & God Bless

SCOUTING OPPORTUNITY FOR GIRLS 11-18
Did you know that St. Michael Parish was the first all-girl Scout Troop serving Canfield, Boardman, & Poland?
Troop 8115 is one of the largest girl troops in Ohio and is celebrating 17 members! We have been focused on growing as leaders, citizens, and friends. We capped off our summer of fun by completing a 25-mile wilderness canoe trip down the Allegheny River. This September we will camp at a Scout Camporee. In October, we will be venturing out on an urban-hike of Washington, DC. And we will spend the next year doing amazing things like caving, white water rafting, and more!
If you are a girl between the ages if 11-18, looking for a way to spread your wings, grow as a leader and have tons of fun, why not join us? You will enjoy skill building, interest exploration, active outings, camping, hiking, boating, group travel, high-adventure and more! We always have room for more! We meet every Monday night at 7:00 PM. in the Great Room of the Family Life Center.
